65th Annual Conference
THE 65TH ANNUAL MSC FALL LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE
Equipping Leaders to Serve Today for Tomorrow
This year’s conference will take place from August 22-24, 2017. The theme is based on the book Small Acts of Leadership, by G. Shawn Hunter.
SMALL ACTS OF LEADERSHIP
Although not required, we highly recommended that conference attendees read “Small Acts of Leadership” before they attended the conference. The book can be found on Amazon or at the TAMU Bookstore.
The MSC Fall Leadership Conference will be hosted in part at Camp Allen. Camp Allen is a modern year-round facility located one hour northwest of Houston. The hotel and conference center are located in a beautiful pine forest with rolling hills and two lakes. Camp Allen accommodates a variety of spiritual, social, corporate, and educational events for all ages. Conference attendees were accommodated in air-conditioned cabins during their time at Camp Allen.
FOCUS GROUP LEADERS
Focus Group Leaders facilitated discussion and collaboration among a group of 10-12 delegates throughout the conference. They also lead sessions which encourage reflection and help connect the conference theme as expressed through the book and speakers to the delegates. Visit our Focus Group Leaders page to learn about the leaders who attended last year’s conference.
The delegates are students leaders from organizations across campus. Students must be entering a leadership position in an organization for the 2017-2018 school year in order to register. Delegates serve as representatives of their organization and Texas A&M University, and they aim to grow as individuals and leaders within our community. This is the only time during the school year in which over 100 Texas A&M student leaders from diverse backgrounds come together in a setting which allows them to learn, collaborate, and network with each other. Visit our Delegates page to learn about the student leaders who attended last year’s conference.
